Make a new ocean friend with us! 🐡💙 Join us for a cozy knitting class where we’ll create “Ties,” an irresistibly soft sea creature from the adorable sea animals collection that includes Karel Crab, Olivia Octopus, Willy Whale, Sterre Seastar, and Bart Puffer Fish.
This class is perfect for knitters who are ready for a fun project and want guidance along the way. Each kit includes the pattern, quality mixed yarn, and all the supplies needed to complete your cuddly companion (just bring your 2.5 mm knitting needles!).
Ties measures approximately 26 cm long when finished and is full of charming little details that make this project both fun to knit and impossible not to love. Whether you’re making one for yourself, a child, or a gift, you’ll leave class with a handmade sea buddy ready for snuggles.
About the instructor Karen Johnson:
Knitting has been one of the most fun, relaxing, calming, and rewarding parts of my life for more than 50 years. I’ve always loved crafting, but knitting and crochet are the crafts my heart always comes back to. I learned to crochet first, then discovered knitting a few years later, and the rest is history.
Before COVID, I attended many retreats, classes, and fiber festivals, including Rhinebeck, Maryland Sheep & Wool, SAFF, and Stitches events, where I connected with an incredible community of makers and formed lifelong friendships. One of my greatest joys has been sharing my love of knitting with others and helping people discover the creativity, comfort, and sense of accomplishment that comes from making something with your own hands.
Knitting is more than a hobby to me. It’s a lifelong passion, a creative outlet, and a meaningful way to connect with others.
