Shipping policy
Order Processing Time
We do our best to ship orders quickly because we know you’re excited to cast on.
- Orders ship within 1–3 business days.
- During sales, shop updates, or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer.
- If your order includes winding, please allow an additional 1–2 business days.
You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
We ship from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, using major carriers (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
Estimated delivery times (after your order ships):
- USPS First Class: 3–7 business days
- USPS Priority Mail: 2–4 business days
- UPS Ground: 1–5 business days
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed once the package is with the carrier.
Local Pickup (Free!)
If you’re local to Winston-Salem, you can choose Local Pickup at checkout.
- You’ll receive an email when your order is ready.
- Pickups can be made during store hours.
- Orders are usually ready within 24 hours (or 48 hours if winding is requested).
Shipping to Multiple Addresses
Need to ship gifts or kits to different places?
Please place separate orders for each address.
Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we’ll contact you to arrange reshipment. Additional shipping charges may apply.
Once an order is marked as delivered by the carrier, Wicked Good Wool is not responsible for:
- Lost or stolen packages
- Delivery to the wrong location if the address was entered incorrectly
If your package seems lost in transit (no movement for 7+ days), contact us and we’ll help you file a carrier claim.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your order arrives damaged or missing items, email us within 7 days at

- Your order number
- A photo of the damage (if applicable)
- A list of any missing items
We’ll make it right with a replacement or store credit.
International Shipping
We currently ship within the United States only.
Winding Disclaimer (Online Orders)
If you request us to wind your yarn before shipping:
- Wound yarn is final sale and cannot be returned.
- Please allow an extra 1–2 business days for processing.
Preorders & Backordered Items
Preorder items ship when they arrive to the shop.
If your order includes preorder and in-stock items, everything will ship together unless you check out separately.
