Sometimes the best things happen by accident! Germantown DK began as a happy mistake at the mill when a skein of Germantown was spun with three plies instead of four. After a little tweaking to perfect the twist, Germantown DK was born.
This 100% North American wool yarn has a crisp, balanced twist and beautiful stitch definition, making it an excellent choice for cables, textured stitches, colorwork, and everyday garments and accessories.
Germantown has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s in Philadelphia, where it became synonymous with quality American wool yarn. Today, that tradition continues with wool sourced from the western United States and yarn spun and dyed right here in North Carolina. From sheep to skein, Germantown DK is proudly made in the USA.
